Pranayam techniques




Pranayam....A healthy routine for a better life!

This blog gives step by step intructions to do Pranayam yoga with illustrations.


It means controlling your breath. Regular practice clears blocked nadis and chakras, and results in feeling energetic, enthusiastic and positive.

Prerequisites for Yoga


Every day you should practice Yoga for at least 30 to 45 minutes to get maximum results.

The best time to practice is early morning hours, but it can be practiced in the afternoon after following food restrictions.

- Stomach should be empty while practicing; there should be 3.5 hours gap before practicing and liquid 1 hour gap.

Place should be clean, airy and away from disturbances.

Yoga should not be done on bare floor but keep mat or carpet below.

Clothes should be comfortable and loose.

Women should not practice Yoga during Pregnancy and menstruation.






Step by step pranayam techniques


1. Bhastrika Pranayam

Breathe in deeply through your nostrils. First, inhale deeply then exhale at a fast rate. Do this 5-10 times or 5 minutes as per your capacity.






2. Kapalbhati Pranayam

Exhale through both nostrils forcefully. Assist your exhalation by pulling in your stomach muscles to expel air. It does not mean that the exhalation should be uncomfortable for you in any way.
Repeat breaths for 15 minutes. You may take a minute's rest after every five minutes.





3. Anulom Vilom Pranayam

Close your eyes. Close the right nostril with the right thumb.  Inhale slowly through the left nostril.
Remove your thumb from your right nostril simultaneously using your ring and middle finger to close your left nostril. Exhale slowly and completely with the right nostril. .
Keeping your left nostril closed with your ring and middle finger, Inhale through the right nostril. .
Close the right nostril and opening the left, Breathe out slowly through the left nostril. This process is one round of Anulom Vilom Pranayam.
Continue for 15 minutes. You may take a minute's rest after every five minutes of exercise.



4. Bahya Pranayam

Inhale deeply through your nose.
Exhale forcefully but the exhalation should not be uncomfortable for you in any way.
Touch your chin to your chest and suck in your stomach completely.  Hold this position -- and your breath -- for as long as it is comfortable.
Lift your chin and breathe in slowly.  Repeat 3 to 5 times.








5. Bhramari Pranayam

Close your eyes. Place your thumbs in your ears, your index fingers above your eyebrows, and middle and ring finger on your eyes. Keep each little finger near a nostril.
Breathe in deeply through the nose.
Breathe out through the nose while humming. Note that the humming sound should originate in your throat.
Repeat three times.






6. Udgeeth Pranayam

Breathe in deeply through the nose. .
Exhale very slowly while saying Om. Chant as slowly as you can. Make sure to keep the O long and the M short. (“OOOOOOm.”)
Repeat 3 times.







Tips

·         If you have a medical condition, consult with your doctor before doing pranayama. Always do what is most comfortable for you.

·         Sit comfortably with your spine erect.

·         Pregnant women and anyone with a fever should consult a doctor before doing Pranayam.

My Spiritual Journey



My Spiritual Journey 

My spiritual experience occurred in the year 2014. My mom passed away in that year. Suddenly and inexplicably, I became interested in afterlife, and  all things spiritual. The Internet became my window to a mysterious universe. I found myself on a quest for spiritual knowledge and wisdom that continues to this day.

Spiritual experiences are sometimes referred to as mystical or paranormal experiences.People who have had these experiences say that, during the experience, they felt ecstasy, love, and loss of fear.These experiences are often sudden and unexpected and may only last a short while.They normally happen when we are alone.


I began to ask questions like: Who am I? And what is life's real purpose? In pursuit of this truth, I undertook spiritual studies through books and the Internet.I have been doing intensive spiritual studies by myself for four years now.

I often have this feeling that I have to share with others what I am learning on my spiritual journey.

I learned about extra terrestrials, the pyramids, the star families, angels, spirit world, afterlife and ascension.

Because of my spiritual dedication, I lost interest in other activities that once seemed important to me like watching TV, socialising etc. These other activities now seemed shallow and irrelevant.
The spiritual journey is seldom easy.

At times, I encounter blockages, temptations and other such things along the way. I often experience frustration, spiritual stagnation and “dark nights of the soul” . The ego doesn't want us to learn the things we are learning.

I started seeing “11:11” on my phone. I looked up and found this number which symbolizes the global awakening and also a sign from universe that I'm on the right path.

It was in the year 2015 or so that I discovered my life purpose. My life purpose actually consists of two parts. First, I came here to learn things and do inner healing work -- such as impatience, fear, negative thinking and judgmentalism -- which block my spiritual growth. Second, I came here as a light worker / starseed to share with others what I’ve learned along the way and contribute to the global awakening.

I still have a long way to go and much spiritual work to do. But I'm blessed to be assisted and intuitively guided in my journey by my guides, angels and loved ones on the other side.

Profound Insights About Life.

Look within and find your soul purpose!

✨We are are all born on this earth with a purpose, a soul mission. We incarnate here to have different experiences and learn from them. Each one of us has a soul purpose and to know about it you need to look within your heart. What makes you happy, what gives you joy, that's your purpose! Don't follow the crowd blindly, you'll just loose yourself. Look within and you'll get all the answers. Path to your destination may get lonely at times. You'll lose people, things that no longer serve your highest good but it's just a matter of time. You'll soon meet your soul tribe with whom you'll feel connected and happy without any judgments, competition or negativity.✨

Where thoughts go energy flows



It is said" Where thoughts go energy flows". If your thoughts are negative, you'll attract negativity in your life. Negative circumstances, negative people and so on. On the other hand, of your thoughts are positive, you'll attract positivity in your life in the form of positive circumstance and positive people.

Universe understands energy and vibrations so the way you feel, you attract in your life.

It's easier said than done but we can always try. It just takes a little effort from our side. Whenever you feel low, Just divert your thoughts to something you feel good about.

Some people listen to music, some go out in nature, some read and so on. Do what makes you feel good.

This applies to the entire community, nation and globe. If we forget all the hatred, jealousy, selfishness etc on a global scale, in no time our Earth will be the most beautiful planet in the universe, truly a heaven!

When we are kids, we fight but soon forget everything and become friends again. Unlike adults, kids don't hold any grudges or resentment against each other for long. It's because they have a pure heart that only knows how to love. But as we grow up, our circumstances, society and people make us behave the other way around. The widespread negativity, chaos, anger, hatred etc fill our hearts with negativity. We forget we all come from the same source and are connected. Instead of thinking from our hearts we start thinking from our minds. And that's where ego comes around. We get so entangled in the ego clash that we hurt not only the other person but ourselves.

We need to let go of the pride and resentment we hold  for each other and listen to our inner child that hides himself deep in our hearts, scared to voice his actual feelings ~ of love and compassion.

No one ever gains anything in a fight. It only results in lot of pain, anger and hatred which eventually affects us mentally, physically and emotionally. And when it's between a loved one and you, and just in case the other one passes away, the guilt you'll feel can never be cleared. So let go of all the stubbornness and forgive. Let the inner child take over. Make the first move. Even if the other person doesn't reciprocate, at least you'll feel much lighter inside.

We get too serious, too responsible, too dedicated in our adult life that We forget how to have fun. At times we need to let the child in us come out and play. We need to be completely happy in the moment. And right here, right now is the only time we can be happy. WeW needn to let go of the nostalgia for our carefree childhood and the plans for the future. 

Be happy right now, even if it feels contrived at first.Your unhappiness and depression are caused by your belief that you are separate from God and his unconditional love for every being. This belief leaves you feeling alone and weak. 
Nothing can stop you from being happy, if you choose to be. Follow your heart. Do what makes your happy!

Improve your life by changing your thoughts!

We are all creating our life experiences and we can change it, if we wish.Our thoughts and beliefs create the kind of experiences we have here in the physical world.

Anything that you can conceive is a potential reality for you. So stop focusing on all the crap in your life and start focusing on what you do want.

We certainly cannot have a life that is happy and serene if we continue to focus on negative things

Don't forget" Energy flows where attention goes".

The key lies in the way you treat a situation or a person. Let go of blaming others or feeling victimized.  Release the need to judge.  Transcend your thoughts and beliefs and you'll experience only positivity in life!

One can also take help of spiritual tools, like meditation, positive affirmations, applying the law of attraction in life,  seeing positive qualities in others, rather than judging or criticizing them and so on.

This Quote by Socrates shows us how to make successful changes in life. He tells us to focus all energy on building new things and leaving behind old things. It is in our hand to make changes in the future, but we cannot undo things done is past.  

During confrontations and conflicts, we focus so much on what is being said, how the other person behaved, and hurt us with negative comments and not caring how its affecting us. How we wish the person to change and consider things from our perspective and when it doesn't happen, we sulk and go into depression and sadness. We repeatedly visualise the scenario and the other person's hurtful comments, hurting ourselves more.


But to retain our sanity, we have two options with us.

First, to speak up to the person how he made us feel, how his comments have hurt you. If he doesn't pay attention or ignores you, better to let him go and divert your attention to something positive. Do what makes you happy, get a life, pursue your hobbies, go out in the nature. Nothing refreshes our mind and soul than a walk in the nature!
